2008 Season Preview

Last year: 8-1 PAC-10; 9-2 overall.
Offense: Wide receivers Sean Conners (Jr., 5-9,170), Rhashad Santiago (Sr., 5-7, 160) and Jeff Vogl (Sr., 5-9, 167); Tight end Paul Thomas (Sr., 6-1. 173); Tackles Greg Boyd (Sr., 5-9, 260) and Chase Godfrey (Sr., 6-1, 285); Guards Zach Juneau (Sr., 5-11, 205) and Brett Petriello (Sr., 5-11, 205): Center Kevin Krasley (Jr., 5-8, 209); Quarterback Zach Zulli (Sr., 6-2, 172); Fullback Lynwood Snowden (Sr., 5-8, 160).
Defense: Ends Andre Coleman (Sr., 6-1, 190) and Chris Stewart (So., 6-1, 221): Tackles Boyd and Ryan Krasley (Jr., 5-8, 215); Nose guard Juneau; Linebackers Steve Entenman (Sr., 6-1, 230) and Petriello; Backs Connors, Santiago, Snowden and Vogl.
Kickers: Morgan is the placekicker and punter.
Quotable: "The big thing for us (in the preseason) was trying to get that chemistry between our linemen." Reed said. "They're working hard, and physically they're OK. But mentally... We expect (Zulli) to have a great season, and we feel Snowden could be a big-play threat for us. I think we're a little more experienced defensively, and our secondary should be very comparable to last year."
Notes: Vikings get two very good tests to open the season when they travel to Upper Dublin and Coatesville. ... Godfrey and Petriello have the ability to line up against anyone in the PAC-10 and will have a lot to do with opening up lanes for Snowden and providing time for Zulli to throw. ... Kevin and Ryan Krasley are twin brothers. ... PV last season became only the second PAC-10 team to qualify for the District 1 playoffs in the Class AAAA bracket.
