2007 Season Preview

Classification: District 1 Class AAAA
Head coach: Scott Reed, 4th season (11-16 PAC-10, 13-20 overall)
Last year's record: 5-4 PAC-10, 5-6 overall
Key offensive players: Mike Boyd, FL; Matt Catagnus, WR; David Dachille, OL; Derrick Jones, RB; Lynwood Snowden, RB; Zach Zulli, QB
Key defensive players: Dachille, DL; Brett Petriello, LB
Outlook: The Vikings face a massive reconfiguration of their defense, with Dachille the lone returning starter from last year's "front seven." A handful of other players (Catagnus, Jones, Snowden) saw duty on that side of the ball to varying degrees. "We'll go from there, and see who steps up," Reed said of the defensive picture.
